I had the absolute pleasure of photographing my fourth wedding in Hawaii over the course of the past three years last April and this one was a total stunner. When you think of a Hawaiian destination wedding i’m sure the same things pop up in your head that pop up in mine: sand, water, beach. What did not, however occur to me were these words: Jungle, up country, mountain. Ginger and Tito’s wedding gave me the opportunity to photograph and experience a side of Maui like I have never before. Being a local, Ginger was privileged to having access to this beautiful state park in Kula with the most amazing view of the island. Not only did her mother sew the wedding dress, but she also (along with Gingers aunts) cooked and provided the food for over 350 people. Plus, after having their first look at the Andaz in Wailea, I now have my eyes set on my very own vacation soon..
take a look.
